Seoul: The Presidential Security Service (PSS) announced on Thursday the establishment of a situation room aimed at guaranteeing the safety and convenience of state leaders attending the Korea-Central Asia Summit in South Korea, slated for mid-September.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the situation room was inaugurated the previous day in central Seoul, in preparation for the first Korea-Central Asia Summit on September 16. This significant summit will see leaders from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan convening with President Lee Jae Myung to discuss enhancing diplomatic and economic relations.

In the lead-up to the summit, the situation room will oversee the personal security of state leaders and foreign delegations, ensuring safety measures are in place at their accommodations, airports, and event venues, as reported by the PSS.
