Tokoname:Aichi-Nagoya: South Korea's Oh Sang-uk clinched the gold medal in the men's individual sabre fencing at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, successfully defending his Asiad title.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Oh, who is also the reigning Olympic champion, secured victory over Shen Chenpeng of China with a score of 15-13 in the gold medal match at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, located approximately 35 kilometers south of Nagoya.

This victory marks Oh's second consecutive Asian Games title in the individual sabre event. He previously earned the gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023, where he was also part of the victorious team event.

The bronze medals were awarded to Artyom Sarkissyan of Kazakhstan and Seyed Ali Esmaeilzadeh Pakdaman of Iran.
