Seoul: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has paid homage to fallen Chinese soldiers at the Friendship Tower in Pyongyang on the anniversary of the armistice that concluded the Korean War in 1953. He promised not to forget their contributions, as reported by state media on Sunday. Notably, during the ceremony, Kim did not express criticism towards South Korea or the United States, as the state media did not mention any such remarks.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim Yo-jong, the influential sister of Kim Jong-un and vice department director of the ruling party's central committee, stated on Monday that North Korea is uninterested in any policy or proposal from South Korea. She affirmed that Pyongyang would not engage in talks with Seoul, despite South Korean President Lee Jae Myung's attempts to reopen dialogue to reduce military tensions and improve inter-Korean relations.
