Seoul: The Korean suspense thriller "Mousetrap" has claimed the top spot on Netflix's non-English TV series chart in its second week of release, as announced by the streaming platform on Wednesday. The series, featuring Ryu Jun-yeol and Sul Kyung-gu, garnered 4.4 million views in the latest tracking week ending Sunday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, "Mousetrap" has made its way into the top 10 in 45 countries, securing the No. 1 position in South Korea, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Pakistan. The series, which is based on the webtoon "Field Mouse," centers around Moon-jae, a reclusive writer whose identity is stolen, propelling him into a tense pursuit of the mysterious "rat" who seems to know him intimately.
In addition to "Mousetrap," three other Korean shows have also appeared on the weekly chart. "Four Hands, Two Sonatas," a tvN drama about students at an arts high school, debuted at No. 5 with 2 million views. The Netflix romance drama "Our Sticky Love" ranked No. 7 with 1.5 million views, continuing its presence on the chart for the fifth successive week. Meanwhile, "Spooky in Love," a remake of the 2011 horror rom-com, reached No. 10 with 1 million views, marking its eighth week on the chart.
