Munich: LIG Nex1 Co., a South Korean manufacturer specializing in precision-guided missiles and weapons, announced the inauguration of its representative office in Europe. This move marks a strategic effort to bolster its footprint in the European defense market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the official opening ceremony occurred last Thursday in Munich, Germany. The event saw the participation of LIG Nex1 Chief Executive Officer Shin Ick-hyun, along with German government officials and local defense industry representatives. This new European office is intended to foster networks and develop strategic partnerships with defense firms across Europe. It will also focus on collaboration in research and development, manufacturing, and marketing activities.
LIG Nex1 has expressed its intention to provide solutions tailored to European needs, specifically in areas such as guided weapons, command-and-control communications, and electronic warfare. A company official highlighted that their ongoing efforts in expanding their overseas business have resulted in a global network, featuring regional hubs not only in Europe but also in the Middle East, Asia, South America, and the United States.
