Seoul: LG Corp. on Thursday reported its fourth-quarter net loss of 225.9 billion won (US$154.2 million), remaining in the red compared with a year ago. The company said in a regulatory filing that it continued to post an operating loss of 421.7 billion won for the October-December period, compared with a loss of 241.9 billion won a year earlier. Revenue fell 14.6 percent to 1.52 trillion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the latest figures indicate ongoing challenges for LG Corp., as the company struggles to turn its financial performance around. The reported operating loss widened substantially from the previous year's same quarter, highlighting the financial hurdles that the corporation faces.
The decline in revenue, which fell by 14.6 percent, underscores the difficulties in maintaining market share or pricing power in a highly competitive environment. The company's ability to reverse these losses remains a focal point for stakeholders and investors looking for signs of recovery or strategic shifts in the upcoming quarters.
