LG H and H Co. on Tuesday reported its third-quarter net profit of 73.5 billion won (US$53 million), down 19.5 percent from a year earlier.
The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the July-September period fell 17.4 percent on-year to 106.1 billion won. Revenue decreased 1.9 percent to 1.71 trillion won.
The earnings failed to meet market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 92.4 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
