At 5:00 p.m., Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, advisor to the Prime Minister and spokesman for the Flood, Storm and Landslide Relief Operation Center (FSOC) and the Forward Operation Center in Chiang Rai Province, revealed that the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has sent a short message (SMS) to warn people in areas at risk of flash floods and forest runoff to prepare for the situation and be ready to evacuate. The risk areas include Tambon Wiang, Tambon Mae Ngoen, Chiang Saen District, Tambon Nang Lae, Tambon Ban Du, Tambon Tha Sut, Tambon Mae Korn, Mueang Chiang Rai District, and Tambon Tha Khao Pluek, Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai Province.
