Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung is set to host a luncheon with religious leaders from major faith groups on Monday to discuss ways to promote national unity, Cheong Wa Dae announced.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the event has been organized to foster social cohesion, restore public trust, and gather insights from religious communities on overcoming division and conflict. The focus will be on moving toward coexistence and unity, as communicated by presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung in a written briefing.
The luncheon will take place at Cheong Wa Dae and will include leaders from both the Buddhist and Protestant communities. Additionally, Archbishop Chung Soon-taick of the Archdiocese of Seoul and Bishop Lee Yong-hoon, president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea, have been invited to represent the Catholic Church.
