According to Yonhap News Agency, the bronze medal marks Yu's first Olympic appearance, setting a new milestone in the history of snowboarding for the Republic of Korea. Lee highlighted that Yu's achievement was particularly significant as she overcame an injury and underwent rehabilitation to compete in the Olympics.
