Alberta: President Lee Jae Myung of South Korea and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva have agreed to enhance cooperation on pressing global issues, including climate change, during a summit held in Canada. This historic meeting marks the first summit between the two nations in over a decade, taking place on the sidelines of the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Alberta, where both leaders attended as guest participants.

According to Yonhap News Agency, President Lee acknowledged Brazil's influential role in the Global South and highlighted South Korea's dedication to strengthening economic ties with Brazil, which stands as its largest trading partner in South America. The leaders emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts on global challenges and agreed to bolster collaboration on the international stage.
