Alberta: President Lee Jae Myung and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum met in Canada to explore ways to deepen economic cooperation.
According to Yonhap News Agency, during their initial discussions on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in Alberta, Lee identified Mexico as a significant trading partner in Latin America and expressed optimism for enhanced collaboration in economic sectors and beyond.
Sheinbaum expressed appreciation for the active investment by Korean companies in Mexico and looked forward to strengthening collaboration, especially in advanced technologies.
In addition, Lee invited Sheinbaum to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit scheduled to be held in Gyeongju, South Korea, later this year. The Mexican president conveyed her gratitude for the invitation and wished South Korea success in hosting the international event.
