Seoul: The SSG Landers secured their fifth consecutive win in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) by defeating the Doosan Bears 7-2. The victory solidified the Landers' position in fourth place with a record of 49-46-4.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Doosan Bears, who are currently in ninth place, saw their record drop to 41-54-5 following the loss. The Bears initially took the lead in the first inning with Jung Soo-bin scoring after a leadoff walk, a single by Lee Yu-chan, and a groundout by Yang Eui-ji. However, the Landers quickly responded in the second inning when Lee Ji-young's double allowed Ha Jae-hoon to score after reaching base on an error and stealing second.

The Bears briefly regained the lead in the third inning, but the Landers surged ahead in the fifth. Jeong Jun-jae's single and Choi Jeong's milestone double, which marked his 1,600th RBI, put the Landers ahead 3-2. Kim Seong-uk extended the lead with a solo home run in the sixth, followed by Ha Jae-hoon's two-run homer in the seventh. Kim Sung-hyun further widened the gap with an RBI single in the eighth inning.

He allowed two runs on four hits and four walks over six innings, striking out five. Kim's performance was highlighted by his effort in the sixth inning, where he struck out two batters, including a signature slider to Kim In-tae. He threw a total of 102 pitches, featuring a five-pitch mix.
