SEOUL: Krafton Inc. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net income of 121.4 billion won (US$86.9 million), representing a 42.6 percent decrease from the same period last year. According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's regulatory filing indicated a rise in operating income for the July-September period by 71.4 percent year-on-year, reaching 324.4 billion won. Additionally, sales saw an increase of 59.7 percent, totaling 719.3 billion won. Despite these gains in operating income and sales, the earnings figures did not align with market expectations. Analysts had anticipated an average net profit of 239.2 billion won, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. .
