Los angeles: The soundtrack for Netflix's animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters" has maintained its No. 2 position on Billboard's main albums chart for the 17th consecutive week.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the album ranks just behind Taylor Swift's latest studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," for the second consecutive week. The Billboard 200, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States, bases its rankings on equivalent album units, including physical sales, track-equivalent units, and streaming-equivalent units.

In the latest tracking week, the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack garnered 104,000 equivalent album units, marking a 9 percent increase from the previous week. In contrast, "The Life of a Showgirl" recorded 338,000 equivalent album units, a significant decrease of 92 percent from the prior week. Swift's album had previously achieved approximately 4 million units, the highest weekly total since Billboard began electronically tracking album sales in 1991.
