Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a mix of gains and losses among its stocks by the close of Wednesday's trading on the Korea Stock Exchange. Key players experienced varied results, reflecting the diverse movements in the market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KAL's shares rose by KRW 600 to reach a closing price of KRW 25,450. In the food sector, SamyangFood recorded a significant increase of KRW 26,000, closing at KRW 1,136,000. POSCO INTERNATIONAL also saw an uptrend, with its shares increasing by KRW 2,000 to settle at KRW 58,300.
Conversely, some companies faced declines. CJ CheilJedang's stock dropped by KRW 800, closing at KRW 194,600. LG Corp. experienced a reduction of KRW 3,900, ending the day at KRW 108,700. Notably, Samsung SDI CO., LTD. saw a decrease of KRW 18,500, closing at KRW 496,500.
In the industrial sector, TaekwangInd's shares increased by KRW 15,000 to KRW 905,000, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries rose by KRW 29,000 to close at KRW 641,000. Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Electric experienced a notable increase of KRW 42,000, closing at KRW 986,000.
On the other hand, SamsungF and MIns saw a decrease of KRW 39,000, ending at KRW 616,000. Korea Zinc faced a decline of KRW 26,000, with shares closing at KRW 1,186,000.
