Seoul: Monday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange concluded with varied results for KOSPI 200 stocks, as several major companies experienced notable declines. Daewoong ended the day at 20,350 KRW, down by 750 KRW, and HANKOOK and COMPANY saw a decrease of 1,400 KRW to close at 24,050 KRW. KIA CORP. also reported a drop, closing at 162,500 KRW, a decline of 5,500 KRW from the previous session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix bucked the trend by posting an increase, closing at 1,840,000 KRW, up by 21,000 KRW. Hyundai Engineering and Construction faced a significant fall of 10,100 KRW, ending at 144,900 KRW. Youngpoong's shares decreased by 1,600 KRW, closing at 58,800 KRW, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance remained steady at 554,000 KRW.
HANALL BIOPHARMA experienced a sharp decrease of 4,900 KRW, closing at 41,450 KRW. Kogas and KAL also saw declines, closing at 37,650 KRW and 25,550 KRW, respectively. Samyang Food dropped significantly by 78,000 KRW, closing at 1,366,000 KRW, with CJ CheilJedang also seeing a decrease of 7,000 KRW, closing at 221,500 KRW.
POSCO INTERNATIONAL fell by 600 KRW to 71,300 KRW, while Taekwang Industrial recorded an increase of 3,000 KRW, closing at 1,014,000 KRW. KCC experienced a notable decline of 12,000 KRW, ending the session at 522,000 KRW. SKBP shares decreased by 1,100 KRW, closing at 95,500 KRW, while AMOREPACIFIC Holdings dropped by 1,150 KRW to 24,450 KRW.
Hyundai Motor saw a substantial decline of 37,000 KRW, closing at 663,000 KRW. Miwon Commercial decreased by 3,600 KRW, ending at 132,400 KRW. LOTTE Fine Chemical and Nongshim reported declines of 600 KRW and 4,000 KRW, closing at 54,600 KRW and 395,000 KRW, respectively.
SGBC and LOTTE experienced declines, closing at 58,900 KRW and 26,800 KRW, respectively. GC Corp. saw an increase of 470 KRW, closing at 15,470 KRW. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp dropped by 2,400 KRW to close at 84,100 KRW, while SKC increased by 3,000 KRW to 136,500 KRW.
MIRAE ASSET SEC recorded a rise of 600 KRW, closing at 70,500 KRW, and LG Innotek increased by 28,000 KRW, ending at 760,000 KRW. HMM saw a slight increase of 70 KRW, closing at 19,960 KRW. In contrast, S-Oil decreased by 600 KRW, closing at 111,500 KRW, and HYUNDAI WIA fell by 3,300 KRW, ending at 89,000 KRW.
Kumho Petrochemical, Daesang, ORION Holdings, and Yuhan faced declines, closing at 143,000 KRW, 20,200 KRW, 25,900 KRW, and 83,400 KRW, respectively. SLCORP saw a significant decrease of 7,100 KRW, closing at 64,800 KRW. CJ LOGISTICS and HITEJINRO reported declines, closing at 89,200 KRW and 16,540 KRW, respectively. DOOSAN experienced a significant fall of 21,000 KRW, ending at 1,593,000 KRW, while Lotte Chilsung decreased by 2,200 KRW, closing at 116,100 KRW.
