Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index recorded a day of mixed trading results, with notable fluctuations in the stock prices of major companies. Several companies saw significant gains, while others experienced declines, reflecting a varied performance across different sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HyundaiMtr stood out with a considerable increase, rising by 15,500 to reach 222,000. POSCO Holdings also reported a notable gain, climbing by 12,000 to close at 335,000. TaekwangInd experienced an upward movement as well, with an increase of 11,000 to 1,086,000. SeAH Steel Holdings and OCI Holdings recorded gains of 10,500 and 5,700, respectively. SamsungElec saw a moderate increase of 400 to 66,400, while Samsung SDI CO., LTD. rose by 2,700 to 184,600.
On the downside, several companies experienced declines. Korea Zinc reported a decrease of 8,000, closing at 826,000. LotteChilsung saw a drop of 6,200, ending at 136,300. Nongshim's stock fell by 5,000 to 398,000, while HD HYUNDAI MIPO recorded a decline of 5,000, closing at 194,000. Other companies, such as Shinsegae and DB INSURANCE, also faced downward trends, with declines of 1,400 and 1,700, respectively.
