Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed trading on Wednesday, with notable fluctuations in the closing prices of major stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange. Key players such as SKBP and KCC experienced significant upticks, while others like HyundaiAutoever and SK Innovation faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SKBP saw a remarkable increase, closing at 91,600 KRW, up by 7,200 KRW. KCC also enjoyed a strong performance, rising by 18,000 KRW to reach a closing price of 472,000 KRW. On the other hand, HyundaiAutoever experienced a substantial drop, closing at 414,500 KRW after falling by 41,500 KRW. SK Innovation also saw a decrease, ending the day at 111,200 KRW, down by 13,800 KRW.
Meanwhile, SamsungElec showed positive movement, increasing by 4,500 KRW to close at 261,500 KRW. LG Corp. and KEPCO E and C also saw gains, with LG Corp. up by 1,800 KRW at 114,400 KRW and KEPCO E and C climbing by 14,800 KRW to a closing price of 123,400 KRW. In contrast, HyundaiMtr closed at 408,000 KRW, marking a decrease of 13,000 KRW.
Other stocks such as LotteChilsung and Daewoong displayed upward trends, closing at 98,500 KRW and 17,700 KRW, respectively. However, companies like POSCO Holdings and Hanmi Science saw declines, with POSCO Holdings down by 4,000 KRW to 328,000 KRW and Hanmi Science decreasing by 1,900 KRW to 44,400 KRW.
