KOSPI 200 Stocks See Broad Gains in Wednesday Trading

Seoul: South Korea's KOSPI 200 index saw a general upward trend as trading concluded on Wednesday, with many stocks recording gains. The day ended on a positive note for several major companies listed on the Korea Stock Exchange.

According to Yonhap News Agency, AMOREPACIFIC Holdings closed at 25,450 KRW, rising by 300 KRW. Hyundai Motor witnessed a significant increase, closing at 261,000 KRW, up by 4,500 KRW. TCC Steel's shares also saw a rise, ending the day at 19,900 KRW, up by 710 KRW. Lotte Chilsung marked an increase of 1,100 KRW, closing at 115,400 KRW.

Other notable performers included COSMAX, closing at 208,500 KRW with an increase of 2,000 KRW, and Samsung Biologics, which saw a substantial rise of 29,000 KRW, closing at 1,173,000 KRW. Hyundai Steel and Hanwha also performed well, closing at 34,400 KRW and 96,100 KRW, respectively, with increases of 1,100 KRW and 5,300 KRW.

However, not all companies saw gains. CHONGKUNDANG and HANALL Biopharma experienced declines, closing at 80,300 KRW and 34,500 KRW, respectively. Celltrion also faced a downturn, ending at 178,300 KRW, down by 400 KRW.

This trading session reflects a mixed yet predominantly optimistic market sentiment, with the majority of stocks in the KOSPI 200 index closing on higher notes.
