Seoul: Wednesday's trading session for KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange saw varied movements, with several companies reporting gains while others faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, CJ Logistics saw an uptick, closing at 81,300 KRW, an increase of 1,300 KRW. SeAH Steel Holdings also experienced a significant rise, closing at 219,000 KRW, up by 14,500 KRW. POSCO International and POSCO Future M reported gains as well, with their stocks closing at 46,900 KRW and 121,500 KRW, up by 2,900 KRW and 3,100 KRW, respectively. LX INT registered a smaller increase, closing at 24,150 KRW, up by 250 KRW.
In contrast, several major companies faced declines. Doosan closed at 248,500 KRW, down by 500 KRW. Hyundai Motor and KCC reported declines, with their stocks closing at 178,000 KRW and 231,500 KRW, down by 1,200 KRW and 9,500 KRW, respectively. Similarly, Nongshim and Shinsegae saw significant drops, with their stocks closing at 373,500 KRW and 139,200 KRW, down by 18,000 KRW and 10,600 KRW.
Other notable declines were seen in Samyang Food, which dropped by 10,000 KRW to close at 794,000 KRW, and CJ CheilJedang, which fell by 6,000 KRW to 228,500 KRW. AmoreG and Daewoong also experienced decreases, closing at 18,930 KRW and 17,770 KRW, down by 680 KRW and 670 KRW, respectively.
Overall, the trading session highlighted the mixed performance of KOSPI 200 stocks, reflecting varied market conditions and investor sentiments.
