KOSPI 200 Stock Market Report Highlights Notable Fluctuations

Seoul: Thursday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange concluded with significant movements in KOSPI 200 stocks, where several companies experienced notable gains and losses. Among the prominent gainers, Samsung Electronics Mechanical saw an increase of 55,000 KRW, closing at 1,385,000 KRW, while Hyosung Heavy Industries' stock rose by 282,000 KRW, reaching 3,079,000 KRW. Conversely, Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance faced a decline of 2,550 KRW, settling at 48,950 KRW.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Doosan recorded an upward trend, with shares climbing by 34,000 KRW to close at 1,214,000 KRW. Meanwhile, CJ Logistics experienced a decrease, with shares dropping by 1,300 KRW to 73,300 KRW. Other notable performances included LG Energy Solution, which rose by 19,500 KRW to reach 370,500 KRW, and ISU PETASYS, which increased by 2,000 KRW, closing at 112,800 KRW.

The fluctuations extended to other sectors as well. Hanwha M and S saw a decrease of 1,400 KRW, ending at 7,610 KRW, while S-1's stocks surged by 5,600 KRW to 85,500 KRW. Hyundai Steel showed a positive change, with shares rising by 1,750 KRW to 31,450 KRW. In contrast, Otoki faced a significant drop, with shares down by 11,500 KRW, closing at 326,000 KRW.

The session also highlighted movements in companies like DN Automotive, which saw a decrease of 1,000 KRW, closing at 46,400 KRW. GS Retail experienced a decline of 1,500 KRW, ending at 25,750 KRW. On the other hand, LS Electric witnessed a rise, with shares increasing by 18,000 KRW to 219,500 KRW. The report underscores the dynamic nature of the stock market, reflecting varied performances across sectors and companies.
