Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a noteworthy session as numerous stocks closed with gains. Among the top performers, HYOSUNG HEAVY recorded an increase of 80,000, closing at 1,660,000, while HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC surged by 14,000 to end at 681,000. The session also saw HD HYUNDAI climbing 8,600 to reach 171,600.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HanmiPharm saw its shares rise by 7,500, closing the day at 353,500. Meritz Financial also performed well, with an increase of 6,200, bringing its closing price to 118,000. Meanwhile, SKSQUARE ended the session at 262,000, up by 4,500.

Other notable gainers included KRAFTON, which went up by 3,000 to finish at 288,000, and LG Corp., which increased by 3,300 to close at 76,900. In the financial sector, BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group saw their stocks rise by 380 and 300, respectively, closing at 14,740 and 13,620.

Despite the overall positive trend, some stocks faced declines. APR dropped by 5,000, closing at 234,500, while CSWIND and SK ie technology ended the session down by 950 and 800, respectively. LG Energy Solution also saw a decrease, falling by 1,500 to close at 432,500.

The session concluded with several stocks maintaining stability, including Doosan Bobcat and HDHMS, which closed unchanged. Overall, the KOSPI 200 showcased a day of mixed movements, with significant gains recorded across multiple sectors.
