KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performances with Notable Gains in Electronics and Pharmaceuticals

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed performances with significant gains in the electronics and pharmaceuticals sectors. Among the many companies listed, KEPCO KPS saw an increase of 150 to close at 47,050, while SANIL ELECTRIC rose by 1,000 to end at 202,500. TaekwangInd also showed a substantial rise, climbing 19,000 to reach 918,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable performances included LG ELECTRONICS, which surged by 3,200 to 201,500, and DAWOONG PHARM, which gained 3,900 to close at 128,800. The financial sector also saw positive movements, with Woori Financial Group increasing by 950 to 33,900 and JB Financial Group up by 1,050 to 29,050.

On the downside, KEPCO EandC declined by 3,900 to 122,400, and Hanwha Ocean decreased by 1,100 to 88,500. Among other losses, Celltrion fell by 600 to 190,700 and Hanwha Engine dropped by 50 to 48,250. Meanwhile, KIH saw a minor decrease of 100, settling at 191,300.

The energy sector displayed mixed results, with SK Innovation making a notable gain of 4,900 to 116,900, while KEPCO saw a decline of 1,400 to 32,550. AMOREPACIFIC stood out with a significant rise of 8,200, closing at 150,600, marking one of the highest gains of the day.
