Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mix of gains and losses among its listed companies, showcasing varied movements in stock prices. Notable shifts included movements in the shares of LGChem and Samsung Life, among others, indicating fluctuating investor sentiments.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LGChem experienced a significant rise, climbing by 15,000 to close at 276,000. This upward movement was one of the more prominent increases among the KOSPI 200 constituents. Meanwhile, Samsung Life saw a decline, dropping by 12,000 to settle at 275,500, signaling a contrast in performance within the index.
Other companies such as KTandG and ShinhanGroup also recorded gains, with KTandG rising by 6,100 to 188,800 and ShinhanGroup increasing by 2,600 to close at 110,000. On the other hand, Hanwha Ocean and Hyundai Department Store experienced declines, with Hanwha Ocean falling by 1,300 to 89,400 and Hyundai Department Store decreasing by 4,600 to 101,800.
In the energy and infrastructure sectors, KEPCO KPS saw a marginal increase, going up by 50 to 47,250, whereas KEPCO E and C faced a slight decrease, dropping by 300 to 101,900. Companies like Doosan Enerbility and LG Display showed positive performances, with Doosan Enerbility going up by 700 to reach 77,100 and LG Display increasing by 210 to 9,770.
The financial sector also witnessed movements, with Hana Financial Group up by 1,400 to 134,700 and Woori Financial Group rising by 1,300 to 34,800. Conversely, Hanwha Life saw a minor decrease, falling by 25 to 4,555.
Overall, the mixed results within the KOSPI 200 illustrate varying trends and market dynamics, with certain sectors and companies experiencing significant shifts in their stock prices.
