Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a varied trading session, with several companies recording notable gains. The index saw significant performance fluctuations among its constituents.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Aerospace was among the top performers, witnessing a substantial increase of 21,000, closing at 954,000. Another standout was KEPCO E and C, which rose by 8,100, ending the day at 96,700. These gains contributed positively to the overall index movement.
Other notable performers included SK, which increased by 9,500 to reach 231,500, and KCC, which saw an increase of 14,500, closing at 387,500. HyundaiEng and Const also had a strong session, rising by 3,900 to close at 61,500. Meanwhile, Hanwha gained 3,700, ending at 83,400.
On the downside, KT and G experienced a decline of 2,600, closing at 136,500, while BGF Retail and HYOSUNG TNC saw minor decreases, ending at 105,500 and 204,000, respectively. HDC HOLDINGS and Hanchem also registered declines, closing at 18,080 and 213,500, respectively.
The index's mixed performance reflects varied investor sentiment across different sectors, highlighting the dynamic nature of the market.
