Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements in its latest trading session, reflecting a mix of gains and losses among major companies. Notable performance was observed in multiple sectors, with companies like Kia Corp. and SK hynix leading the way with significant increases in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Kia Corp. saw its stock price rise by 3,400, closing at 134,900. SK hynix also reported positive movement, with an increase of 7,000, settling at 1,678,000. KEPCO E and C marked one of the highest gains, with an 18,300 increase, reaching a closing price of 108,600. Other companies posting upward trends included SamsungF and MIns, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and SamsungElecMech, which saw increases of 12,000, 9,000, and 44,000, respectively.
On the other hand, some companies experienced declines. GC Biopharma Corp. faced a decrease of 4,000, closing at 126,300, while LG Energy Solution's stock price fell by 12,500, ending at 349,500. Hyosung Heavy and YoungoneHoldings also reported decreases, with drops of 37,000 and 1,400, respectively.
