KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Several Stocks Rise and Fall

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance in its latest closing, with prominent movements in both upward and downward directions across various sectors. S-Oil led the gainers, closing at 165,900, marking an increase of 6,500. HANWHA SOLUTIONS also saw a rise, ending at 30,800 with a gain of 1,650. LG Innotek showed a notable increase, climbing 8,000 to close at 553,000, while SK Innovation experienced a significant uptick, closing at 153,500, up by 15,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other stocks like OCI Holdings and Hanchem saw upward trends, with OCI Holdings increasing by 11,000 to 226,500 and Hanchem rising by 5,000 to 203,000. Hyundai WIA and YoungoneHoldings experienced mixed results, with Hyundai WIA increasing by 800 to 57,100, while YoungoneHoldings fell by 2,500 to 169,100.

In contrast, SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDING S348000 experienced a decline of 3,000. KEPCO and SK Telecom also faced downward movements, with KEPCO decreasing by 350 to 33,750 and SK Telecom dropping by 1,100 to 91,300. Samsung SDS and Lotte Shopping saw declines, with Samsung SDS down by 5,500 to 224,500 and Lotte Shopping falling by 6,900 to 110,900.

Major companies like SamsungSecu and KT also reported losses, with SamsungSecu falling by 100 to 87,200 and KT decreasing by 1,200 to 53,100. SAMSUNG CandT and SAMSUNG CARD were not spared from the downward trend, with SAMSUNG CandT dropping by 6,000 to 376,000 and SAMSUNG CARD decreasing by 550 to 45,950.

Despite the mixed results, some companies managed to post gains. Korea Aerospace increased by 1,300 to 129,100, and Hyundai Elevator rose by 900 to 75,700. Additionally, SK Telecom's sister company, SK, experienced a decrease of 1,000, closing at 602,000. Meanwhile, LG Display and Hanon Systems saw minor increases, with LG Display up by 10 to 8,950 and Hanon Systems rising by 65 to 3,515.
