KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Select Stocks Rise, Majority Decline

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed trading session with both gains and declines among its constituents. According to Yonhap News Agency, several stocks marked notable changes in their closing prices. On the positive side, Samsung Life saw an increase, closing at 313,500 won, up by 3,500 won. Doosan Enerbility also reported gains, closing at 112,100 won, up 1,300 won. Among other gainers, L and F and JB Financial Group each rose by 300 won, closing at 160,500 won and 25,250 won respectively. LIG Defense and Aerospace marked a significant rise of 5,000 won, closing at 839,000 won, while OCI Holdings surged by 27,000 won, finishing at 318,000 won. Meritz Financial also saw a slight uptick, increasing by 500 won to end at 106,300 won. Conversely, a majority of stocks experienced declines. Lotte Wellfood closed at 118,400 won, down by 3,000 won, and KT fell by 1,700 won to 57,000 won. LG Uplus decreased by 610 won, closing at 15,600 won. Other notable declines included NAVER, which fell by 3,500 won to 200,000 won, and Kakao, which decreased by 1,550 won, ending at 42,450 won. NC saw a substantial drop of 13,000 won, closing at 258,500 won. Shinsegae experienced a significant decrease, falling by 38,000 won to 503,000 won, while HanmiPharm dropped by 40,000 won, closing at 432,500 won. The session reflected a varied landscape for investors, with a blend of rising and falling stocks influencing the overall market performance.
