KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Samsung Biologics and Hanwha Aerospace Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mixed performance with notable gains and losses across various sectors. Among the top performers, Samsung Biologics and Hanwha Aerospace experienced significant upticks in their stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics surged by 118,000 to close at 1,885,000, showcasing a strong upward trend in the biotechnology sector. Hanwha Aerospace also recorded a substantial increase, with its stock price climbing 80,000 to reach 1,090,000. Other companies such as HD Hyundai Electric and LS Electric also saw positive movements, with increases of 41,000 and 7,000, respectively.

On the other hand, several companies faced declines. OCI Holdings fell by 2,400 to a closing price of 101,800, and Doosan Bobcat dropped by 2,400, ending at 57,300. Additionally, KRAFTON and Kumho Petrochem experienced decreases of 2,500 and 2,000, respectively.

The index also highlighted some stability, with OTOKI remaining unchanged at 375,000. Meanwhile, companies like S-Oil and Netmarble reported smaller gains, with increases of 600 and 400, respectively. Conversely, firms such as kakaopay and Samsung Card faced minor declines, dropping by 400 and 700, respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance influenced by both significant gains and losses in different sectors, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market.
