Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed performance, with several stocks seeing gains while others faced declines. Notably, HanmiPharm and Meritz Financial were among the top gainers, whereas HD Hyundai Electric and SKSQUARE saw significant drops, contributing to a varied market outcome.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HanmiPharm's stock price increased by 7,000 to close at 439,500, marking a positive performance for the company. Meritz Financial also recorded an upward movement, gaining 2,500 to reach a closing price of 108,800. These gains were among the highlights of the trading session.
On the downside, HD Hyundai Electric faced a substantial drop of 52,000, closing at 1,095,000. SKSQUARE also saw a significant decline, with its stock price falling by 73,000 to settle at 1,020,000. These declines were part of a broader trend affecting various companies within the index.
Other notable performances included KOLON IND, which decreased by 3,900 to end at 74,600, and emart, which saw a reduction of 5,600, closing at 93,600. Additionally, Samsung Biologics experienced a downturn, falling 40,000 to conclude the session at 1,346,000.
Despite these declines, some companies managed to achieve gains. SD Biosensor rose by 260 to reach 8,200, while iM Financial Group saw an increase of 420, closing at 18,330. Netmarble and HYBE also recorded positive movements, with their stock prices rising by 650 and 1,000, respectively.
