Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements in its latest trading session, with several key stocks closing higher, while a few saw declines. Daewoong Pharm emerged as a significant gainer, reflecting a notable increase in its share price.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Daewoong Pharm recorded the highest gain among the listed companies, with its stock price rising by 14,600 to close at 162,400. Other notable performers included KPIC, which saw a rise of 21,700 to reach 158,700, and LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp, which increased by 11,000, closing at 84,800. SKSQUARE also recorded a substantial gain, with its price up by 11,000 to 322,500.
Celltrion and KIH experienced significant increases as well, with Celltrion up by 10,100 to 182,900 and KIH rising by 6,700 to close at 176,500. KOLON IND and HYBE also showed positive movements, with their stock prices increasing by 5,050 and 5,500, respectively.
Conversely, some stocks closed lower, including LIG Nex1 and HDHMS, which both saw a decrease of 5,500. SK hynix and Hanwha Vision also faced declines, dropping by 2,000 and 650, respectively. KDHC and HyundaiEng and Const ended the session with minor losses as well.
Overall, despite some declines, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a general trend of gains, with multiple companies showing positive growth in their stock prices, led by Daewoong Pharm and several other industry players.
