Seoul: Haerin and Hyein, members of the K-pop group NewJeans, will return to their entertainment agency ADOR and resume their activities after a prolonged legal dispute, the agency announced on Wednesday. This development follows a ruling by the Seoul Central District Court in late October affirming the validity of the exclusive contract between NewJeans and ADOR.

According to Yonhap News Agency, ADOR confirmed that both Haerin and Hyein have decided to continue their collaboration with the agency. The decision was reached after discussions with their families and thorough consultations with ADOR, leading the members to respect the court's decision and adhere to their exclusive contract.

While ADOR has not disclosed details regarding discussions with NewJeans' three other members, it is anticipated that Haerin and Hyein will carry on with their activities under the NewJeans name. However, it remains unclear if they will wait for the return of the remaining group members.

The agency has committed to fully supporting Haerin and Hyein's future endeavors in the entertainment industry. The legal conflict originated in November of the previous year when NewJeans announced their intention to terminate their contract with ADOR, citing a breakdown in trust due to alleged unmet obligations by the agency.

In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit in the subsequent month, asserting that the group's actions to pursue an independent career breached their contractual agreement. As of late October, ADOR stated that it had finalized preparations for NewJeans' activities, including the release of a regular album.
