KOSPI 200 Closes with Gains Led by TaekwangInd and SKC

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a positive close, with several companies recording gains in their stock prices. Notably, TaekwangInd and SKC were among the top performers, contributing significantly to the upward movement of the index.

According to Yonhap News Agency, TaekwangInd's stock price increased by 25,000 to reach 823,000, making it one of the highest gainers of the day. Additionally, SKC saw its stock price rise by 5,600, closing at 123,000. Other notable gainers included KumhoPetrochem, which rose by 7,700 to 120,700, and Samsung Life, which increased by 7,600 to 167,000.

SeAH Steel Holdings and Shinsegae also contributed to the positive performance of the index. SeAH Steel Holdings' stock price went up by 3,300 to 146,700, while Shinsegae's stock price climbed by 9,500 to 213,500. Meanwhile, LG Corp. and LOTTE Fine Chem saw their prices rise by 1,600 and 2,000, respectively.

Despite the overall positive trend, some companies experienced declines. KG Mobility's stock price fell by 20 to 3,460, while SKTelecom and HankukCarbon saw their prices decrease by 100 and 350, respectively. LG Uplus also recorded a decline, with its stock price falling by 130 to 15,550.

The day closed with Hyundai Elevator rising by 2,900 to 76,600 and POSCO FUTURE M going up by 4,500 to 215,000. The overall sentiment in the market was positively influenced by gains across a broad range of sectors, as reflected in the KOSPI 200's performance.
