Seoul: Friday's closing prices of the KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange displayed a mix of gains and losses across various sectors. Among the notable performers, SK hynix and Doosan witnessed significant increases, closing at KRW 2,333,000 and KRW 1,972,000, respectively, marking substantial upticks of KRW 44,000 and KRW 312,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies such as Samsung Electronics Mechanical and Hyundai Motor also reported upward trends, with Samsung Electronics Mechanical closing at KRW 2,127,000, an increase of KRW 278,000, and Hyundai Motor rising by KRW 46,000 to reach KRW 723,000. Meanwhile, Korea Zinc saw a rise of KRW 8,000, closing at KRW 1,373,000.
Conversely, some stocks faced declines. Hanwha and LS Electric experienced notable decreases, with Hanwha down by KRW 5,500 to KRW 133,700 and LS Electric dropping KRW 5,000 to close at KRW 241,500. OCI Holdings saw a significant decline, ending the day at KRW 349,500, down by KRW 14,500.
Other stocks such as CJ Logistics and Kogas remained unchanged, closing at KRW 85,500 and KRW 35,500, respectively. The overall market movement reflects a varied performance among the top-listed companies on the KOSPI 200.
