KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Notable Gains in Technology and Retail Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a combination of upward and downward trends in its latest closing, with several companies in the technology and retail sectors experiencing considerable gains. Among the notable advancements, Doosan led the charge with a substantial increase, closing at 1,238,000, which marked a rise of 24,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also showed positive momentum. SD Biosensor saw its stock rise to 6,300, an increase of 260, while Meritz Financial climbed to 122,000, up by 3,000. The retail sector also reflected positive movement, with emart closing at 75,100, up by 1,100, and BGF Retail advancing to 147,000, an increase of 7,300.

In contrast, some companies experienced declines. Samsung Biologics faced a significant drop, closing at 1,486,000, down by 108,000. Similarly, HD Hyundai Electric and SK Square also saw decreases, with their stocks falling to 814,000 and 1,028,000, down by 7,000 and 40,000, respectively.

Despite these declines, several companies, including HyundaiAutoever and KakaoBank, managed to record gains, with HyundaiAutoever closing at 416,000, up by 2,500, and KakaoBank rising to 21,850, an increase of 250. Meanwhile, companies like SK ie technology and Doosan Robotics experienced downturns, with their stocks falling to 16,680 and 71,600, down by 1,540 and 1,500, respectively.

This mixed performance highlights the volatility in the market, with certain sectors showing resilience and growth potential despite broader economic challenges.
