Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed movements, with several stocks showing significant gains while others recorded losses. Notably, key companies such as COSMOCHEM, POSCO Holdings, and HDKSOE reported substantial increases in their closing prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, COSMOCHEM's stock price rose by 460, closing at 17,330. POSCO Holdings experienced a noteworthy rise of 13,500, bringing its closing price to 389,000. HDKSOE also reported a significant increase, with its stock price climbing by 25,000 to close at 422,500.
Other companies that recorded gains include DB Insurance, which rose by 1,300 to reach 183,400, and NHIS, which saw an increase of 5,850, closing at 36,750. GCH Corp and LotteChilsung also saw their prices go up by 520 and 1,200, closing at 16,330 and 141,800, respectively.
Meanwhile, some companies faced declines. Lotte saw a decrease of 200 in its stock price, ending at 35,850, while Meritz Financial's price fell by 100 to close at 136,200. Shinsegae and YoungoneHoldings experienced notable declines, with their prices dropping by 10,000 each, closing at 354,000 and 223,000, respectively.
The results reflect a day of varied performances across the board, impacting the overall position of the KOSPI 200 index.
