Kospi 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Notable Gains and Losses

Seoul: The Kospi 200 index observed a varied performance with several companies experiencing significant shifts in their closing prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, KorZinc led the gains, closing at 783,000, marking an increase of 22,000. Samsung Biologics, however, faced a decline, dropping 14,000 to close at 1,029,000.

HD Hyundai saw a decrease of 2,700, ending at 123,500, while HD Hyundai Electric climbed by 15,500 to reach 434,000. Krafton also posted a positive movement, rising 9,500 to close at 382,000. Meanwhile, KCC and SeAH Steel Holdings both recorded declines, with KCC falling by 5,000 to 322,500 and SeAH Steel Holdings also dropping 5,000 to settle at 231,000.

Financial entities such as Woori Financial Group and KakaoBank showed upward trends, closing at 20,550 and 28,500, respectively. KEPCO E and C experienced a notable increase, up 18,300 to end at 89,700. On the other hand, SKCHEM and Hyosung TNC observed declines, with SKCHEM closing 300 lower at 60,400 and Hyosung TNC down 3,500 to 256,500.

SKSQUARE and ECOPRO MAT both saw significant increases, closing at 140,600 and 46,150, respectively. In contrast, kakaopay experienced a decrease, dropping 2,400 to close at 56,700. The report highlighted that despite fluctuations, several companies, including DoubleUGames and KEPCO KPS, posted gains, indicating a mixed but active trading session on the Kospi 200.
