Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of varied performances on Tuesday, with several prominent stocks showing notable changes in their closing prices. Among the significant gainers was LG Energy Solution, which saw its stock rise by 10,000 KRW to close at 393,500 KRW. According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies that posted gains included CJ CheilJedang, which increased by 13,000 KRW to reach 270,500 KRW, and LS ELECTRIC, which rose by 6,200 KRW to end the day at 139,500 KRW. HD HYUNDAI MIPO also demonstrated a strong performance with a 7,300 KRW increase, closing at 118,200 KRW. Additionally, S-Oil and HYBE recorded gains of 3,300 KRW and 4,500 KRW, respectively. Conversely, several stocks witnessed declines. SamyangFood experienced a significant drop, decreasing by 9,000 KRW to close at 535,000 KRW. YoungoneHoldings also saw a decline, with its stock falling by 2,400 KRW to 81,900 KRW. Other notable decreases were observed in HyundaiMtr, down by 1,500 KRW to 215,500 KRW, and Kumyang, which fe ll by 1,400 KRW to 29,050 KRW. The day's trading session highlighted the volatility within the KOSPI 200, as investors navigated through a mix of gains and losses across various sectors. Noteworthy increases were seen in companies such as TCC STEEL and ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL, while declines were noted in stocks like KorZinc and KumhoPetrochem. The fluctuations underscore the dynamic nature of the Korean stock market as investors respond to economic indicators and corporate performances.
