Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements in its closing prices, reflecting a day of mixed fortunes for major stocks. The market saw significant changes, with some companies experiencing gains while others faced declines. According to Yonhap News Agency, KAL closed at 23,900, marking a decrease of 150 points. LG Corp. faced a notable decline, closing at 75,700, down by 2,300 points. POSCO FUTURE M also saw a drop, ending at 224,500, down 4,000 points. Conversely, Hyundai Steel climbed to 25,350, an increase of 50 points, and HtlShilla rose to 44,600, up by 1,300 points. Other significant movements included SamsungElecMech, which increased to 118,400, up 700 points, and LG Innotek, which rose by 1,600 points to close at 177,600. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp saw a rise of 2,500 points, closing at 95,400. Kumyang experienced a significant increase, closing at 41,500, up by 3,250 points. On the other hand, SKSQUARE saw a substantial decline, closing at 84,800, down 4,800 points. HANWHA AEROSPACE also faced a decrease, ending at 368,000, down by 7,500 points. NAVER dropped by 4,400 points to close at 170,000, and Kakao faced a decline of 400 points, ending at 36,950. Meanwhile, KEPCO saw a slight increase of 150 points, closing at 23,100, and KG DONGBU STL rose by 110 points to end at 6,830. DWS increased by 1,250 points, closing at 51,000. The market's mixed results were reflected in other stocks such as SamsungSecu, which decreased by 250 points to close at 45,900, and SAMSUNG CARD, which rose by 250 points to end at 40,400. PanOcean saw a minor increase of 50 points, closing at 3,555, while LG Uplus rose by 30 points to close at 10,010.
