Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a positive momentum as several key companies recorded gains in their closing prices. Notably, Hanwha Aerospace and SK hynix were among the top performers.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Aerospace saw a significant increase, closing at 967,000, up by 22,000. Similarly, SK hynix registered a closing price of 304,000, marking an increase of 16,000. Mobis also experienced a notable rise, closing at 319,000, up by 3,500.

The technology sector showed strong performance with SamsungF and MIns and Youngpoong seeing notable increases. SamsungF and MIns closed at 472,000, up by 6,500, while Youngpoong ended at 41,300, up by 2,050. HyundaiMtr finished the trading session at 220,500, marking an increase of 1,500.

Meanwhile, several companies in the chemical and steel sectors also reported gains. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp's closing price was 66,400, up by 300, and SeAH Steel Holdings ended at 182,200, up by 3,700. POSCO INTERNATIONAL closed at 49,000, gaining 450.

In contrast, some companies faced declines. CJ saw a decrease, closing at 185,900, down by 1,500, and HtlShilla recorded a closing price of 48,850, down by 200. KumhoPetrochem and LotteChilsung also saw decreases, closing at 109,600 and 117,400, down by 200 and 300, respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of broad gains, with several major firms experiencing upticks in their stock prices, contributing to the buoyant market sentiment.
