KOSPI 200 Sees Broad Decline with Few Notable Gains.

SEOUL: The KOSPI 200, South Korea's benchmark stock index, witnessed a predominantly downward trend as numerous companies posted declines in their stock prices. Among the notable decreases, LS ELECTRIC experienced a significant drop of 11,600, closing at 141,300. Other major decliners included KorZinc, which saw its stock fall by 161,000 to 981,000, and HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED, which decreased by 8,400, ending at 182,100. According to Yonhap News Agency, the market did see some positive movement. KEPCO's stock rose by 700, closing at 22,200, while COWAY experienced an increase of 800, reaching 62,800. Fila Holdings also gained 500, closing at 39,000. Moreover, HYBE saw a significant rise of 4,400, finishing at 198,600. Despite these gains, the overall trend remained negative for most stocks, with declines seen across various sectors.
