Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixture of gains and losses as various companies closed with notable price changes. Among the key performers, DL saw an increase of 1,500, closing at 49,650, while SD Biosensor's price rose by 80 to reach 6,330. Conversely, Meritz Financial experienced a decline, closing down 2,800 at 118,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the financial sector witnessed significant activity with BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group experiencing increases of 40 and 70, closing at 14,880 and 17,620 respectively. On the retail front, emart reported an increase of 2,300, closing at 75,100. Meanwhile, HanjinKAL experienced a substantial increase of 6,500, closing at 128,800.
Hankook Tire and Technology saw a rise of 1,400, closing at 68,300, while Samsung Biologics marked a significant increase of 14,000, closing at 1,599,000. In contrast, Kolmar Korea and HL Mando saw declines, closing down 1,200 and 1,000 at 148,800 and 50,400, respectively.
The technology and gaming sectors also showed positive trends with Doosan Bobcat and Krafton increasing by 1,200 and 5,000, closing at 62,300 and 228,000, respectively. HD Hyundai and HD Hyundai Electric reported gains of 1,500 and 14,000, closing at 217,000 and 733,000.
Meanwhile, companies such as KakaoBank and SKSquare experienced declines, closing down 100 and 2,000 at 21,500 and 1,058,000, respectively. Despite these losses, the overall sentiment remained buoyant with several sectors recording notable gains.
