Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a day of mixed performances with several companies experiencing notable changes in their stock prices. Among the companies listed, Shinsegae and DB Insurance recorded significant increases, while others like Samsung Electronics and SK hynix faced substantial declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Steel closed at 30,700, down by 600, while Shinsegae saw a rise, closing at 329,500, up by 7,000. LotteChilsung also experienced a decrease, ending the day at 135,500, down by 2,300. COSMOCHEM's stock fell to 16,200, marking a decrease of 710.

DB Insurance had a positive day, closing at 159,700, up by 6,900. However, Hyundai Motor and HDKSOE both saw significant declines, each falling by 15,500 to close at 488,500 and 409,000, respectively. Samsung Electronics faced a drop to 159,300, down by 9,800.

Other notable movements included AMOREPACIFIC Holdings, which increased by 750 to close at 31,000, and POSCO Holdings, which rose by 3,500 to end at 367,000. In contrast, Samsung Electronics Mechanics fell by 15,000, closing at 290,000.

Hanmi Science and F and F both saw increases, closing at 46,000 and 73,600, up by 1,300 and 1,100, respectively. Meanwhile, OCI Holdings and Taihan Cable and Solution experienced declines, closing at 138,500 and 31,800, down by 12,600 and 1,700.

Hyundai M and F Insurance saw a slight decrease to 30,150, down by 50, and SK hynix faced a significant drop, ending at 842,000, down by 58,000. Other declines included Youngpoong closing at 58,100, down by 3,700, and Hyundai Engineering and Construction at 110,000, down by 3,000.

Among the gainers, CJ closed up by 2,000 at 210,500, while GS Retail fell by 2,600 to end at 20,950. ISUPETASYS and OTOKI saw contrasting movements, with ISUPETASYS down by 5,400 at 120,000, and OTOKI up by 1,000, closing at 391,000.

DN Automotive and JB Financial Group both reported increases, closing at 26,800 and 28,400, up by 650 and 350, respectively. On the other hand, Youlchon Chemical and HYOSUNG HEAVY experienced declines, closing at 27,200 and 2,334,000, down by 650 and 50,000.

LG Energy Solution decreased by 7,500 to close at 395,000, while HtlShilla saw an increase of 2,400, ending at 50,100. Hanwha Solutions and LIG Nex1 both faced declines, closing at 36,400 and 434,500, down by 50 and 34,500, respectively.

Lastly, GS, ISU Specialty Chemical, and TKG Huchems all reported declines. GS closed at 69,300, down by 800, ISU Specialty Chemical fell by 16,600 to 105,600, and TKG Huchems ended at 20,050, down by 250. JB Financial Group saw a positive change, closing at 28,400, up by 350, while HYUNDAI DEPT STORE and SBHC both faced decreases, closing at 101,400 and 80,300, down by 600 and 10,000, respectively.
