Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange closed Thursday with notable gains across a range of sectors. Key stocks that saw an increase in their share prices include SGBC, GCH Corp, CosmoAM and T, and Shinsegae, among others. SGBC’s shares rose to 72,400 KRW, marking an increase of 1,700 KRW, while GCH Corp’s shares climbed to 15,310 KRW, up by 630 KRW. Additionally, CosmoAM and T and Shinsegae shares increased to 67,000 KRW and 136,000 KRW, respectively.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable performers included LotteChilsung, TCC STEEL, and LOTTE, which saw their share prices rise to 122,700 KRW, 36,800 KRW, and 21,650 KRW, respectively. Shares of Hyosung and Nongshim also reported gains, closing at 46,150 KRW and 348,000 KRW. POSCO FUTURE M and CJ LOGISTICS experienced significant increases, closing at 183,100 KRW and 82,900 KRW, respectively.
Additionally, LG Corp. saw its shares rise to 78,100 KRW, and Yuhan’s shares increased to 118,700 KRW. The market also witnessed gains i
n sectors represented by companies like SLCORP, HANKOOK and COMPANY, and DL. However, not all stocks experienced increases; DOOSAN and HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES saw declines, closing at 194,200 KRW and 225,500 KRW, respectively.
The trading session concluded with SAMSUNG SDI CO.,LTD. seeing a rise to 272,000 KRW in its share price, while GC Corp experienced the highest gain, with its shares jumping to 149,800 KRW, an increase of 7,600 KRW. Despite some stocks like Fila Holdings and HYUNDAIGLOVIS experiencing declines, the overall trend for the day was positive, reflecting a robust trading session.
