Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index concluded its trading session with a mixture of gains and losses across various sectors. Noteworthy performances included Hanwha Aerospace, which experienced a significant rise in its stock price.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Aerospace saw its stock price increase by 31,000, reaching a closing price of 951,000, marking one of the most substantial gains among the listed companies. Other companies that saw an uptick include CJ, which rose by 11,800 to close at 187,400, and OCI Holdings, which climbed by 5,600 to 97,600. SK also witnessed an increase, closing at 212,000 with a gain of 5,500.
Conversely, several companies experienced declines. Korea Zinc fell by 10,000, closing at 891,000, while LS Electric saw a decrease of 5,500, bringing its price to 287,500. HD Hyundai Mipo and S-Oil also faced downturns, losing 1,700 and 600, respectively.
In the retail sector, LG Corp. and LOTTE experienced positive movements, with LG Corp. rising by 300 to 75,900 and LOTTE increasing by 450 to 30,300. In contrast, Hanwha and KumhoPetrochem saw their prices decrease, with Hanwha dropping by 500 to 85,600 and KumhoPetrochem falling by 5 to 108,900.
The trading session illustrated a varied performance across the board, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market as investors navigated through the latest developments and economic indicators.
