Seoul: The latest trading session saw the KOSPI 200 index closing with significant gains, with numerous stocks experiencing an upward trend. Notable movements included LIG Nex1 and Doosan, both showing substantial increases in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LIG Nex1's stock price surged by 23,500, closing at 497,000, while Doosan saw an impressive rise, closing at 644,000, up by 36,000. The financial sector also experienced positive movement, with Hana Financial Group increasing by 3,800 to close at 87,100.
Other significant gainers included Samsung C and T, which rose by 3,900 to 182,400, and Shinhan Group, which increased by 2,200 to close at 67,500. NAVER's stock price also saw a boost, climbing by 2,500 to reach 233,500.
On the downside, a few stocks experienced declines. Hyundai Elevator dropped by 300 to 79,300, and LG Display fell by 210 to close at 11,640. Similarly, KT and G decreased by 500, ending at 131,400, while KT fell by 700 to 51,100.
Overall, the session was marked by a general upward trend, with several key players in various sectors contributing to the positive momentum in the KOSPI 200 index.
