Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained stable across most terms as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The rates, which are indicative of the borrowing costs among South Korean banks, showed no change from the previous session across the majority of terms as of 11:00 a.m.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week and 1-month KORIBOR rates held steady at 2.50% and 2.60%, respectively. The 2-month and 3-month rates also showed no movement, remaining unchanged at 2.70% and 2.81%. Similarly, the 6-month rate stayed consistent at 2.89%.
The only slight variation was observed in the 12-month term, which decreased marginally from 3.15% to 3.14%. The stability in these rates suggests a period of steady interbank borrowing costs in South Korea, reflecting broader economic conditions.
