KORIBOR Rates Remain Unchanged for Most Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) showed stability across most terms as posted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m. today. The rates, which are key indicators for lending costs in the South Korean financial market, remained unchanged for several terms, reflecting a steady economic outlook.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week KORIBOR rate held steady at 2.50 percent, mirroring the rate from the previous session. Similarly, the 2-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month rates also showed no change, remaining at 2.52 percent, 2.54 percent, 2.58 percent, and 2.59 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the 1-month rate saw a slight increase from 2.51 percent to 2.52 percent.

The consistency in the rates suggests a period of economic stability, with the financial markets maintaining last session's lending costs. The slight uptick in the 1-month rate indicates minor adjustments in short-term lending expectations. These rates continue to serve as crucial benchmarks for loans and financial products within South Korea's banking sector.
