Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) saw minimal changes in today's posting, with most short-term rates remaining unchanged while slight increases were noted in select longer-term rates. These rates are key indicators of the cost of borrowing between banks and can influence broader financial markets and economic conditions. According to Yonhap News Agency, the one-week and one-month KORIBOR rates remained steady at 3.25% and 3.31%, respectively. Similarly, the two-month rate held firm at 3.34%. However, the three-month rate experienced a slight increase, moving from 3.39% to 3.40%. This adjustment may be indicative of a minor shift in market expectations or liquidity conditions. The six-month and twelve-month rates also demonstrated marginal upward movements. The six-month rate increased from 3.36% to 3.37%, while the twelve-month rate rose from 3.22% to 3.23%. These subtle changes in the longer-term rates could reflect cautious adjustments by financial institutions in response to economic for ecasts or regulatory considerations.
